The Goldbergs star Wendi McLendon-Covey will star opposite Nicolas Cage in Army of One, a satirical comedy from Endgame Entertainment and Conde Nast Entertainment.
Larry Charles, whose credits include the Sacha Baron Cohen hit Borat, is directing the project, which will be a TWC-Dimension release in North America.
The project has a script by Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph (Draft Day) and is loosely based onChris Heath’s GQ magazine article.
The movie tells the larger-than-life, comedic true story of Gary Faulkner, a Colorado construction worker who travels to Pakistan — 11 times — on a self-proclaimed mission to capture Osama Bin Laden. Though he has neither special skills nor connections, he believes he’s the perfect man for the job.
